Veteran Radio Programmer Joel Folger Dead at Age 65

Sad to report the death of veteran radio programmer and consultant Joel Folger after he suffered a heart attack on Thursday, February 17 at age 65. Folger began his career at KTRF/Thief River Falls, MN and followed with on-air positions at KCLD/St. Cloud, KQRS/Minneapolis and KBPI/Denver. He went on to program CHR KJYO/Oklahoma City, KEGL & KDGE/Dallas and CHR KDWB/Minneapolis. His company Folger Media launched the BLAKE FM brand into syndication in 2016.

Folger is survived by his wife Becky and his three children, Kayla, Mandi and Brayden. Services are currently pending.
