Townsquare Media/Portsmouth, NH taps veteran programmer Ginny Brophey as Brand Manager of Country WOKQ-FM. Brophey was a fixture at Beasley Media in Boston for 27 years, serving as Assistant Program Director for Country WKLB from 2016-17, and Program Director for the station from 2018-20. She's also served on the boards and volunteered for several local and national non-profit organizations including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Advisory Board.

"I am so thrilled to be part of this heritage radio station. WOKQ and Townsquare Media are pros at creating great local radio and community-driven digital content. I love New Hampshire and am enthusiastic to lead the Portsmouth content team," said Brophey.

"We couldn't be more excited about the experience, and passion for country music, that Ginny is bringing to the Portsmouth market," commented Townsquare Northern New England Market President Christine Sieks.

"Ginny has earned a reputation as one of the most respected Country programmers anywhere," added Townsquare SVP/Content and Programming Kurt Johnson. "I've always hoped to work with her one day, and now that day is here. We're beyond proud to have her join the Townsquare team in Portsmouth."
