Veteran Georgia radio broadcaster and owner Troy Mattox joins Guest Technology in a brokerage and consulting role with an emphasis on small to medium markets. Mattox owned and operated WKUB, WWUF and WSGT, an FM cluster in Waycross-Blackshear, GA, until selling the stations in 2018. He is an expert at minimizing operating expenses while emphasizing quality programming and heavy local involvement on the air, including sporting events.
Mattox was elected to the Georgia Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2018, which he called "very humbling." "Radio is my passion," he said in a recent newspaper interview.
Troy, a Vietnam Veteran, is a native of Blackshear, GA where he and wife Sue still live. He served as Chairman of the Pierce County Board of Commissioners and President of the Chamber of Commerce among many other civic endeavors.
