St. Valentine's Day Mass Wedding Returns to WGH-FM/Norfolk

After an extended hiatus, WGH-FM (97.3 The Eagle)/Norfolk is bringing back the largest wedding celebration in Hampton Roads -- The St Valentine's Day Mass Wedding. On Tuesday, February 14, at the Eagle's Nest Rockin' Country Bar in Chesapeake, VA, over 80 couples will be simultaneously tying the knot in matrimony along with family, friends and the 97.3 The Eagle staff.

President and Market Manager Keith Barton remarked, "I remember the first 97.3 Eagle Mass Wedding, I was involved with back in 1999. I had no idea what to expect. I saw more than 70 couples tie the knot at the Chesapeake Square Mall on Valentine's Day. Jimmy Ray said he wanted to revive the event, and the response has been overwhelming."

After exchanging the vows, the Mass Wedding newlyweds will be treated to a very special first dance performance by Stone Country Records National recording artist Easton Corbin.

"I'm really excited to be able to bring back a Hampton Roads Valentine's Day tradition. What could be more wonderful than a room full of happy people committing themselves to each other in love for life?," said WGH-FM Program Director and afternoon air personality Jimmy Ray Dunn.
