Ballen Studios and Wondery have announced a new podcast series called "MrBallen's Medical Mysteries." MrBallen's storytelling skills have attracted millions of fans across the globe, and he is now turning to the human body for inspiration in this latest suspense-driven podcast. As part of the studio's deal with Amazon Music, MrBallen's Medical Mysteries is the first original series co-produced by Ballen Studios and Wondery. MrBallen's Medical Mysteries will debut this fall on Amazon Music and Wondery+ before going wide on all other major podcast platforms.

The series features intriguing tales of medical mysteries from around the world that have confounded doctors and experts. The human body is a miracle, but when it's not working, it can be the stuff of nightmares. In his latest series, master storyteller MrBallen shares medical horror stories and diagnostic mysteries that are surgically calibrated to make the blood run cold, from bizarre, unheard-of diseases and miraculous recoveries to strange medical mishaps and unexplainable deaths.

Wondery Chief Content Officer Marshall Lewy said, "MrBallen Podcast: Strange, Dark & Mysterious Stories is one of the top-ranked podcasts on Amazon Music, and the Ballen team has been one of our closest collaborators. We're thrilled to build on this collaboration with a new show that continues to dive into areas where other podcasters fear to tread. Wondery knows firsthand from our success with our Dr. Death franchise how chilling and compelling medical stories can be. And no one can tell a story like MrBallen. That's why he's amassed such a beloved fanbase."

"I'm excited to expand into the world of medicine and dive into these unexplained mysteries," said Allen. "MrBallen's Medical Mysteries is the most logical next step in continuing on our collaboration with Amazon Music and Wondery, to further our brand with new storylines and topics, and still keeping to the MrBallen storytelling style."

MrBallen, otherwise known as John B. Allen, is the creator and voice behind true crime global hit series MrBallen Podcast: Strange, Dark & Mysterious Stories. MrBallen, a former U.S. Navy Seal, crossed over into audio from YouTube, where he has built a global following of nearly 7.5 million subscribers and over 1 billion views.
