Longtime public media leader Peter Dominowski joins U:SA as Executive Director. He previously served as Program Director at WMFE in Orlando and WFMT in Chicago. He is a co-founder of PRPD, and of the Morning Edition Grad School (MEGS) workshops. Dominowski also spent nine years as President/General Manager at Northeast Indiana Public Radio and served as President of Market Trends Research & Consulting.
"Public media's history is one of challenges presented, and challenges met," said Dominowski. "I have confidence that the high value of our services to listeners and viewers, combined with the talent and creativity of public media professionals, will help us to sustain and grow the essential programming we provide to all Americans."
U:SA Board President Kerry Swanson said, "Peter's demonstrated commitment to the mission and core values of public media along with his experience as a general manager, VP of development, program director, trainer, and researcher make him a valuable resource for stations."
Dominowski's Executive Director position begins October 23, and over the next few weeks he'll be working with retiring Executive Director Virginia Dambach to provide a seamless transition.
