WOMT/Manitowoc WI Morning Host Damon Ryan to Retire

50-year veteran news reporter, and the voice of news at WOMT/Manitowoc (Sheboygan), Damon Ryan is retiring. He's worked for Seehafer Broadcasting for the last 46 years and will air in his last morning shift on Tuesday, November 7, the same day he was hired in 1977. Ryan first started working at WGSY in Peru, IL before moving to Neenah to work at WNAM-AM. He then held a short stint at WMKC-FM in Oshkosh. Ryan also worked with WOMT host Lee Douglas for 35 years and 12 years in the mornings with the "Lee and Damon Show."
While Ryan is retiring from full-time duties and the morning show, he'll continue to stay involved by broadcasting High School sports with Seehafer Broadcasting. When Ryam wasn't working in radio, he was an alderman on the Manitowoc City Council, co-chaired the United Way Campaign, and was on the original Friends of the Manitowoc Family Aquatic Center Board. He's also very active with faith singing in the men's choir at St. Francis of Assisi Church.
