Sad to report that "Coast to Coast" weekend host Ian Punnett died from a brief illness on Thursday, December 22. Since 2000, he's served in various roles, and was a valued host of "Coast to Coast AM," including regular weekend hosting duties, his own spin-off show "Coast to Coast LIVE" with Ian Punnett, a podcast entitled "Vaudeville for the Frightened," and most recently twice a month hosting duties.

Punnett co-hosted Rock morning shows on WXLP in the Quad Cities on then-Rock WKDF in Nashville in the early-to-mid-1990s. He was also morning man on WMJY in Long Branch, NJ. Punnett moved to Talk radio at WGN in Chicago in 1994 and then Atlanta in 1997 to host a nightly show. In Minneapolis, Punnett hosted the morning show (6-10am) on KTMY-FM. It was known as "Ian & Margery," and was co-hosted by his wife, Margery.

"I've had the privilege of producing for Ian these past 24 years, and I will miss our friendship and the professional collaboration," said Coast to Coast AM Executive Producer Lisa Lyon. "Every conversation behind the scenes was as lively and entertaining and everything we strive for on the air. Ian was great radio personified."

Coast to Coast AM host George Noory said in statement, "Ian was a beloved member of our Coast to Coast AM family for more than 20 years. He was fun, entertaining and a very dear friend. I will miss him immensely. Our hearts go out to his loved ones, and the many fans who also suffer this tremendous loss."
