WCAO (Heaven 600)/Baltimore Names Sonya Blakey as PD

iHeartMedia/Baltimore appoints Sonya Blakey as Program Director for Gospel WCAO-AM (Heaven 600), effective February 1. Blakely will stay in the Chicago area as she joins Heaven 600 and will continue to program WGRB-AM (Inspiration 1390) as well as hosting the morning show, which she's been a part of for over 20 years.

"We are fortunate to have Sonya take the lead as Program Director for Heaven 600," said Region Senior Vice President of Programming Jeff Kapugi. "She is a proven leader and will guide the station to new heights!"

"I'm honored to carry on the rich legacy of Heaven 600 in bringing the good news and gospel music with a new vision and proven media innovation," added Blakey. "Also looking forward to connecting and building strong relationships with the local faith and gospel artist community."
