The Broadcasters Foundation of America has announced the presenting speakers at this year's Golden Mic Award gala and fundraiser, which takes place Monday, March 4, at the Plaza Hotel in New York. Hearst Television retired Chairman and CEO David Barrett, Hearst Corporation Senior VP Michael J. Hayes and retired Graham Media Group President and CEO Emily Barr will pay tribute to 2024 Golden Mic honoree Hearst Executive VP and COO Jordan Wertlieb.

There will be a special tribute to Phil Lombardo, the former long-time Chairman of the Broadcasters Foundation, who died last month. At the time of his passing, Lombardo held the title of Chairman Emeritus. Lombardo was held in high esteem by the broadcast industry. He worked tirelessly to raise money for the mission of the Broadcasters Foundation.

Entertainment at the gala will be provided by Pete Caldera, well-known to New Yorkers for singing swing standards made famous by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and more. Caldera has a monthly residency at the popular Carnegie Club and has appeared on "The Late Show with Steve Colbert." As previously announced, broadcast journalist and syndicated talk show host Soledad O'Brien will return as host of the event.

For more information or to reserve a seat or table at the Golden Mic Award gala and fundraiser, please contact the Broadcasters Foundation at info@thebfoa.org.

The Broadcasters Foundation has distributed more than $15 million dollars in aid over the past 20 years. This year, the Foundation will award approximately $1.8 million.
