Cumulus Media announces that Alternative WKQX (Q101)/Chicago will present a special daily on-air feature throughout March for Women's History Month. The month-long feature, entitled "The Women Who Make Q101," is hosted by midday personality Lauren O'Neil (pictured). Every weekday at noon, Q101 will showcase the most influential female artists who have left their marks on the Alternative Rock format.

The daily feature will air two to three songs from each artist featured, with specially produced audio including interviews with the history-making artists. O'Neil will also share stories about the artists and their music. Listeners across the U.S. can tune in each day from Q101.com or by downloading the Q101 app.

O'Neil said, "I am truly grateful for the opportunity to honor, amplify and celebrate the incredible Women Who Make Q101. These artists inspired me to get into radio and continue to inspire me every day. Join me every weekday at Noon as we celebrate the music, talent, art, tenacity, and impact of the icons who have blazed the path from the beginning - and those who continue to carry the torch with an hour-long special this Friday for International Women's Day."
