CRG/Ithaca Launches ''Solar Eclispe Quad-Cast'' Playlists

As the upcoming solar eclipse approaches, Cayuga Radio Group is launching custom music playlists curated specifically for this historic celestial event. Four stations, four formats, and listeners can pick their listening choice as they watch the eclipse on Monday April 8. They include WQNY (Q Country), WYXL-FM, WIII (I 100) and WFIZ (Z95.5) in Ithaca, NY.

"We created four distinct 20-minute music playlists in the rock, country, Top 40, and adult contemporary formats," said Operations Manager and Q Country morning host Chris Allinger. "Kat on I 100, Dave on Lite Rock, and Justin on Z95.5 each have 20-minute sweeps that people can add an audio experience to this historic visual occasion."

Listeners can expect an audio journey tailored to their musical tastes, thanks to the expertise of Cayuga Radio Group's talented team. "I love letting our listeners share input," said Kat Walters, Brand Manager of I 100. "They came up with some amazing rock songs, and I think people will love it."

"I'm excited. I hope people turn up the volume and really enjoy the mutli media show. I want people to remember Z95.5 as the radio station they were playing when they saw the eclipse," added Z95.5 Brand Manager Justin Bertolero.

Dave Ashton of Lite Rock echoed this sentiment, "We are also excited. I can't say what people will hear in advance," said Dave. "But I can say you won't hear U2's 'Staring at the Sun,' that just seems like a recipe for disaster."
