MIW Announces Second Annual Speak Up! Mentorship Program
RADIO ONLINE | Tuesday, April 30, 2024 |
Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio is opening the application window through Friday, May 17 for the "Speak Up Mentorship Program" in honor of the late Laurie Kahn. Now in its second year, Speak Up! is a one-year mentorship designed for women in small to medium radio markets seeking guidance and mentorship to further their career goals. One candidate from radio broadcasting, from any department, will be selected and jointly mentored by MIW executives and Media Staffing Network certified coaches.
MIW Board President Ruth Presslaff said, "This mentorship is particularly special as it continues Laurie's mission. We are honored to have the privilege to partner with Lisa Fields to carry that legacy forward."
"Working with MIW to help women in media navigate the changing landscape of our industry is so important. The 'Speak Up' mentorship program gives us a one-on-one opportunity to help someone define their idea of success and chart a course to get there," added Media Staffing Network President Lisa Fields.
The first Speak Up! mentee was 2023 recipient Mary Zukin, a senior sales & marketing executive at Iliad Media Group in Idaho. For more information about the program or to learn more information about the organization, please visit RadioMIW.com.
