IBA and RVA Partnership Set to Assist Broadcasters

Two of the nation's radio associations have announced a partnership to assist small and medium size market radio station owners. The Independent Broadcasters Association (IBA) and the Radio Vendor Alliance (RVA) are introducing a series of initiatives using their combined resources to help broadcasters compete in a competitive marketplace against larger media concerns and other media in general.

"The IBA was created to help smaller media companies compete against larger competitors. With the RVA, we expand our offerings to include the necessary tools to accomplish those goals," said IBA President and Executive Director Ron Stone.

The newly formed partnership will offer radio station owners, managers and staff large scale effectiveness at discounted group pricing. "The IBA was already offering a chance for stations to appear larger in their respective markets by providing national cash contests, quality legal counsel at fixed costs and opportunity to have print on demand services for station merchandise. Now with the combination of the RVA's vast array of service vendors our members will benefit significantly from the combined purchasing power we bring to the market," said Stone.

Under the arrangement, IBA members will have access to discounted services from a variety of RVA members and will get access to the wide variety of high quality services through the Radio Vendor Alliance including mobile app development with RadioFx, website building and digital assets management with Envisionwise, CRM integration with Rumple or gift certificate marketing programs with Big Deals Media amongst numerous other offerings.

The two organizations will also joint sponsor a series of educational seminars at no cost. The monthly series of Lunch and Learn workshops are being developed for radio station owners to help them achieve success in their local markets. The monthly live and recorded training sessions will feature feedback and questions directly from radio organizations. The series will start in September and cover a wide variety of subjects keen to radio station ownership.
