iHeartMedia/Los Angeles News/Talk KFI-AM debuts a new show featuring university/college students as panelists. "Studio 640" is hosted every Sunday at 2pm by investigative journalist Steve Gregory. The roundtable-style panel rotates weekly and features students from Southern California schools who major in journalism communications, and broadcast media.

The students must be involved with their school's digital media program, radio/television station or newspaper. Students from community colleges, public universities, private schools, and vocational schools have already been selected to serve as panelists. The panels are as diverse as the schools they represent.

KFI-AM 640 Program Director Robin Bertolucci said, "Right now, we have the two largest demographic groups living simultaneously on the planet - GenX / Boomers and Millennials. This show is an effort to bridge the divide and bring the generations together with understanding and clarity."

Host Steve Gregory first created the concept in 2012, "Studio 640 not only builds a conduit between our news operation and area journalism schools, but also offers students a professional experience they can learn from and use to start their own careers. The bonus is hearing about everyday events through the POV of a journalism student."

The entire program, along with podcast-only content, will be available as on-demand audio via the iHeartRadio app. The program was created by Steve Gregory who also serves as the executive producer, along with producing partner Jacob Gonzalez. The show's line producer is Richie Quintero.
