Francois to Head SummitMedia Urban & Gospel Programming

SummitMedia appoints J'Michael Francois as Vice President of Programming for R&B and Gospel. Francois comes to company from Cumulus Media where he served as Operations Manager and multi-station PD for the Baton Rouge and New Orleans clusters for 18 years. During his time there, he lead KQXL-FM to the market's number one Urban AC and WEMX-FM to the market's number one Urban Mainstream. He also programmed the cluster's Gospel station WXOK-AM.

In this new role, he will oversee WAGG-AM in Birmingham, WBHK (98.7 Kiss) in Birmingham, WJMZ (107.3 JAMZ) in Greenville and WRKA (103.9 The Groove) in Louisville. Francois also works on audience growth and engagement.
