Longtime "Anytime Classical" host Michael Toulouse is retiring from "Classical Music Indy." Toulouse, who was appointed the station's Program Director in 2008, has become one of the organization's most recognized voices. In recent years, he has served as primary host of "Anytime Classical," a syndicated program heard on stations from Ohio to Washington State. His last broadcast will air on Friday, August 9.

Toulouse is a highly respected fixture in classical radio locally since 2002 when he became the evening classical music host on WFYI Indianapolis. In 2006, he received a Spectrum Award from the Indiana Broadcasters Association.

Toulouse is looking forward to an extended period of semi-retirement, balancing family time with part-time work in the IT sector. "Michael will be greatly missed," said Executive Director, Julia Holbrook. "The community has welcomed Michael into their lives for many years and he leaves a lasting legacy."

For several years, Toulouse was Classical Music Indy's host on WICR, before creating Anytime Classical, which WICR carries Monday-Friday from 6-10am on WICR-FM-HD1 and from 3-6pm on WICR-HD2. In Indiana, the show can also be heard on WBAA, serving Greater Lafayette, IN.

Toulouse said, "I am grateful for our longtime donors who make our work possible and our many broadcast partners. But I would also like to thank all the people who have listened to our music and storytelling over the years. They are the ones who matter the most, and Classical Music Indy will continue to serve them long after I am gone."
