American General Media/Bakersfield elevates JR Flores to Program Director for KERN-AM and KGEO-AM (ESPN Bakersfield). He previously served a Assistant Program Director of KERN and producer of The Ralph Bailey Show (TRBS) and replaces Michael Hopper who exited KGEO in July. He'll continue as the producer of TRBS.

"JR is a dynamic talent and has demonstrated superior strategic sensibilities guiding KERN Radio for us. Giving PD stripes to JR is well deserved and adding his skills to ESPN Bakersfield will only make our brands more successful for our listeners and clients," said AGM Bakersfield, CA and Albuquerque Regional Director of Operations & Programming Robert Lewis.

"JR provides our talk stations the perfect blend of leadership and knowledge toward important issues and topics that matter to our listening community in Bakersfield and its surrounding communities. He is well deserving of this promotion," added AGM Bakersfield General Manager William Smith.

Flores commented, "It's an honor to be entrusted with leading an iconic brand such as ESPN Bakersfield and continuing the rich history that is KERN Radio. I look forward to providing the community I grew up in with content, news and information they can trust and rely on."
