iHeartMedia Memphis will hold its ninth annual Wine on the River event on Saturday, October 5 from 5-9pm at Tom Lee Park in Downtown Memphis. Tickets are on sale now at WineOnTheRiverMemphis.com. A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit local charity Door of Hope Memphis. In the past, the event has sold out with 3,000 attendees.

iHeartMedia's K97, V101, WDIA, WREC, Rock 102 and 102.7 Kiss FM will be promoting the event by letting listeners know all they need to know about the event. Air personalities Big Sue, Mike Evans, Mic T, Stan Bell, Stormy Taylor and more will be on site hosting.

General admission tickets will include a souvenir tasting cup and all beverage samples. New this year is the exclusive tasting hour which will be an educational wine tasting class held one hour before the event. The event will also feature live music playing all throughout the evening with live performances by the Marcus Malone Band and Lucky 7 Brass Band, as well as Big Sue from K97.

Wine on the River Memphis maintains a charitable component by contributing proceeds and collaborating with Door of Hope -- a nonprofit organization based in Memphis. Their mission is to end homelessness for Memphis' most vulnerable population by providing housing and supportive services one Door at a time. Often, Door of Hope offers this very vulnerable population their last chance for hope for a better life.
