iHeartMedia Chicago has announced the return of its annual "Sista Strut Pink Celebration," a breast cancer awareness walk that will take place on Saturday, October 5. Now in its eighth year, the event is being held in partnership with WGCI, V103, Inspiration 1390, 103.5 Kiss FM, 93.9 Lite FM, Rock 95.5 and Chicago's BIN 640 AM. The 3K walk will benefit Sisters Network Chicago Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Black women affected by breast cancer.

The walk will be hosted by Chicago media personalities, including Carla Ferrell from "The Steve Harvey Morning Show," Bionce Foxx from V103, Sonya Blakey from Inspiration 1390 and V103, KeKe Hampton from 103.5 Kiss FM and 107.5 WGCI and ABC7 Chicago's Val Warner. ABC7 Chicago will serve as the television partner for the event.

iHeartMedia Chicago President Matt Scarano said, "This annual walk is a powerful demonstration of unity, strength, and resilience within our community, raising awareness about breast cancer and its impact on Black women," he said. "We are proud to stand alongside the participants, survivors, and supporters who make this event so impactful."

The "Sista Strut Pink Celebration" will begin at 10am at the Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Community Center, located at 1250 West 119th Street in Chicago's Southside. The event will feature family entertainment and sponsor giveaways. Registration is free, and participants are encouraged to donate to Sisters Network Chicago, Inc., which has played a crucial role in raising awareness about breast cancer in the Black community.

Sisters Network Chicago President Annie Jones highlighted the importance of the ongoing collaboration with iHeartMedia Chicago. "Their support has been vital in amplifying the voices of survivors and promoting early detection," she said. "This partnership has allowed us to reach a wider audience and make a greater impact on the health and well-being of women in Chicago."
