Wondery launches its latest podcast, "The Best Idea Yet" (TBIY), a weekly show co-produced with hosts Nick Martell and Jack Crivici-Kramer, the duo behind the business podcast "The Best One Yet" (TBOY). Known for their humor and business insights, Martell and Nick and Crivici-Kramer will explore the little-known stories behind iconic products that have gained cult followings and consumer obsession. The first episodes were available ad-free on Wondery Plus starting October 8, with a broader release across all podcast platforms on October 15.

The debut episodes dive into origin stories, including that of a Guatemalan mother who conceptualized McDonald's Happy Meal, a rural German cobbler who designed the first Birkenstock sandal over two centuries ago, and a family whose attempt at building an airplane accidentally led to the invention of the Jacuzzi. Each episode offers listeners a mix of inspiring narratives, business insights, and plenty of trivia-worthy anecdotes.

The duo's partnership began 17 years ago as college roommates, eventually leading to a successful side project in 2011 with their newsletter, MarketSnacks, which simplified business news. After building a substantial audience, they sold MarketSnacks to Robinhood in 2018, continuing their journey as the hosts of Robinhood Snacks Daily. In 2022, they launched The Best One Yet, their independent podcast, which has since amassed over 1,500 episodes.

"Telling the untold stories of beloved products was a natural evolution for us," said Martell and Crivici-Kramer. "We've found that consumer products are the celebrities of our generation, with followings and fame beyond reason. We're thrilled to partner with Wondery to bring these stories to life."

The Best Idea Yet marks the second co-production between Wondery and TBOY.
