Broadcasters Foundation Debuts Media Mixer in Los Angeles

The Broadcasters Foundation of America (BFOA) marked its entry into the west coast with its inaugural Los Angeles Media Mixer this past Wednesday, October 23. The event took place on the bustling NBC4 Lot and attracted more than 100 industry professionals ranging from seasoned executives to newcomers. The mixer, hosted by NBC4 News Anchor Colleen Williams and Valentine, the voice behind iHeartMedia's 104.3 MYFM morning show, featured a live performance by Spencer Sutherland.

This gathering is part of BFOA's broader initiative to bridge the gap between aspiring broadcasters and industry veterans. The Los Angeles Media Mixer, sponsored by NBCUniversal Local and the California Broadcasters Association, provided a rare opportunity for attendees to network with high-profile figures such as Todd Mohktari, President and General Manager of Telemundo52/NBC4 Los Angeles, and Alissa Pollack, Executive Vice President of Global Music Marketing at iHeartMedia, among others.

BFOA President Tim McCarthy noted, "We're delighted that our first west coast Media Mixer was such a success. We are thankful for the support from Valari Staab and Todd Mohktari at NBCUniversal Local, and Joe Berry from the California Broadcasters Association. Plans for similar mixers in other markets are already underway."

The BFOA Media Mixers aim to fulfill three key objectives: celebrating the community spirit within the broadcasting industry, facilitating networking among peers, and heightening awareness of the Foundation's charitable mission aimed at assisting junior-level broadcast professionals.
