Cumulus Media's Rock WXMX-FM (98.1 The Max) in Memphis has raised over $920,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis through its 34th Annual Radiothon. The record-breaking amount was raised by the station's listeners and Ronald McDonald House partners in less than 12 hours on Friday, November 1.

Each hour, 98.1 The Max air personalities interviewed past and present Ronald McDonald House families, as well as community leaders who help raise awareness of the Ronald McDonald House. This is the largest annual fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis.

Cumulus Memphis Vice President/Market Manager Morgan D. Bohannon said, "The Max audience has long had a passion for RMH Charities, and this year they outdid themselves. The connection between our audience, staff and "the cause" is unparalleled and now, historic."

98.1 The Max Program Director and Operations Manager Danni Bruns commented, "Say what you want about Memphis, but we just proved we've got the most generous community."

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis offers children with pediatric cancer and other catastrophic illnesses undergoing treatment at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and their families a nurturing, family-centered residential community.
