On Saturday, November 23, WALR (Kiss 104.1) in Atlanta partnered with Publix and Mabra Law for the 6th Annual Kiss 104.1 Turkey Giveaway, distributing free turkeys to families in underserved communities ahead of Thanksgiving. The initiative, supported by Giving Grace -- a Remerge program assisting families in emergency situations-helped identify recipients.

Many of the families served have faced homelessness, financial challenges, or crises. Families received certificates to collect their turkeys at the Publix Supermarket on Glenwood in Atlanta. Publix donated 104 turkeys to the event, with Mabra Law matching the contribution and providing additional turkeys as needed to meet demand. In total, 208 turkeys were distributed to families.

One recipient, Ms. Pat, shared her gratitude: "Having the turkey taken care of takes a lot of stress off me because I don't have a lot of money right now to provide food for my family. This will let me focus on providing food while the kids are out of school next week. Plus, we can eat turkey sandwiches all weekend with the leftovers!"

Cox Media Group SVP of Audience & Programming Chris Eagan expressed pride in the station's role. "Kiss 104.1 and Cox Media Group are proud to be able to serve our audience and help make Thanksgiving better for those who need help."

Mabra Law Founder and Managing Partner Ronnie Mabra emphasized the importance of giving back. "Abundance is not measured by what we keep, but by what we share. Those of us who are fortunate enough to call Atlanta home recognize that this is a city where great promise and need live side-by-side. The Mabra Law team and I are honored, once again, to be able to give back with gratitude to our beloved home community."

The Turkey Giveaway has become an annual tradition, showcasing the power of collaboration between local businesses and community initiatives to make a meaningful impact during the holiday season.
