WLS-AM has teamed up with Ramblin' Ray Stevens (pictured) and PAWS Chicago to bring a special holiday event, "The 12 Strays of Christmas." Starting December 5th, the morning show will spotlight one adoptable pet each weekday to help them find their forever homes. Every morning from 6-9am, listeners can tune in to "The Ray Stevens Show" to meet a new pet from PAWS Chicago, a leading no-kill animal shelter.

The event kicks off with Finley, a lively three-month-old puppy known for his boundless energy and affectionate nature. Described as playful and loving, with fluffy fur and floppy ears, Finley embodies the joy and companionship that pets bring to their families.

The initiative aims to highlight the individual stories and charming personalities of pets in need, encouraging the community to consider adoption. "We call them rescues, as if we are saving them, when in fact, they are actually saving us. Nothing will ever love you like a shelter pet," stated Stevens, capturing the essence of the bond between humans and their animal companions.

Interested adopters can visit the PAWS Chicago Lincoln Park Adoption Center at 1997 N. Clybourn Avenue, or make an appointment through the PAWS Chicago website to meet these delightful animals.

With "The 12 Strays of Christmas," WLS 890 AM and PAWS Chicago are making the holiday season a little brighter for both pets and potential adopters, emphasizing the life-changing impact of giving a pet a loving home.
