After four decades as the voice of Milwaukee mornings, Dave Luczak has announced his retirement from Classic Rock WKLH-FM's morning show. His final broadcast is set for December 20, marking the end of an era in Wisconsin radio. Luczak, who began his journey at WKLH in February 1984, has been a fixture on the airwaves, entertaining and connecting with listeners across generations.

Reflecting on his career, he shared his gratitude for the experience: "To anyone who has ever listened to the morning show on 96-5 in Milwaukee, all I can say is thank you! What an incredible ride it's been. I feel truly blessed -- working a dream job, for a company I respect and admire, in a city and state that I absolutely love. I will miss the daily connection with our listeners and working with my friends, but I won't miss that alarm ringing at 3:15am."

Beyond the microphone, Luczak has played a pivotal role in the station's philanthropic efforts. For 26 years, he has been a cornerstone of the WKLH Miracle Marathon, helping raise over $30 million for Children's Wisconsin. His commitment to supporting local children and families has left a profound impact on the community.

Milwaukee Media Group President and General Manager Bob Bellini expressed his admiration for Luczak's career and contributions: "Having shared this incredible journey with Dave for 36 of his 40 years, I will certainly miss his presence on our team. However, his legacy of passion and devotion to our listeners and our community will continue to set a standard of excellence that we can all draw on as we go forward."
