The Connecticut Broadcasters Association (CBA) has announced that Jennifer Parsons will assume the role of President, effective January 2. Parsons, a veteran broadcaster and former General Manager of WZBG-FM in Litchfield, CT, succeeds Michael Ryan, who is retiring after a 12-year tenure marked by advocacy and leadership on behalf of the state's broadcasters.

Parsons brings nearly four decades of broadcasting experience to her new role, with expertise spanning sales, programming, syndication, licensing and operations. She has been a member of the CBA Board since 1997, serving as Chair from 2009 to 2011. Her career began in 1986 as an Account Executive at WINE-AM in Brookfield, CT.

"We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer Parsons as our new President," said CBA Chair and Connoisseur Media Senior Vice President & Market Manager Kristin Okessonat. "Her deep roots in Connecticut broadcasting and long-standing commitment to the CBA make her uniquely qualified to lead our association into the future. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mike Ryan for his extraordinary 12 years of service. He has been an invaluable champion for our industry."

Ryan leaves a strong legacy of supporting local and national broadcasters. His leadership is credited with bolstering the CBA's mission and advocacy efforts, paving the way for Parsons to advance the organization's goals.

Parsons expressed her enthusiasm for the new position: "As a local broadcaster and longtime member of the CBA Board, it's an honor to take on this leadership position. I'm passionate about representing Connecticut's broadcasters and look forward to advocating for our industry's growth and innovation. I'm eager to roll up my sleeves and get to work."
