SiriusXM has announced a new addition to its lineup with the launch of "Holding Court," a weekly show hosted by tennis veteran Patrick McEnroe. The program is set to debut on January 4, ahead of the Australian Open, and will be available on SiriusXM's Mad Dog Sports Radio.
"Holding Court" will air every Saturday morning, offering a blend of professional tennis coverage, instructional advice, and insights into racquet sports like pickleball. The show aims to connect with tennis fans across the nation, allowing them to engage directly with McEnroe through call-ins and discussions.
Patrick McEnroe, known for his extensive background in the sport as a player, coach and commentator, expressed his enthusiasm about the new show. "I'm thrilled to have a platform where I can share my passion for tennis and engage with fans," McEnroe said. "We'll cover everything from major tournaments to local court matches and even touch on other major sports."
SiriusXM President and Chief Content Officer Scott Greenstein highlighted the show's unique position in sports radio. "Tennis fans have long needed more content tailored to them, and 'Holding Court' will fill this gap by leveraging Patrick's immense knowledge of the game," Greenstein noted.
