The 2025 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show, scheduled for April 5-9 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, is now open for registration. This annual event is set to highlight significant trends in the media and entertainment industry, focusing on sports, artificial intelligence, the creator economy, streaming and cloud virtualization.

A new addition this year, the Sports Summit, will be a major draw. Spanning three days, the summit is designed to delve into the evolving dynamics of sports media rights and the enhanced fan experience, illustrating how technology is pivotal in these areas. The summit will explore various facets of the sports industry, including the impact of real-time analytics, immersive experiences, and the rise of athlete-owned media ventures.

Sports broadcasting continues to be a cornerstone for media companies, attracting millions of viewers across multiple platforms including radio, streaming services, television and social media. The NAB Show aims to equip industry leaders with insights and strategies crucial for thriving in this fast-paced market. Notably, the NCAA NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) rule changes are poised to reshape the landscape, creating new opportunities in media rights and licensing.

The programming for the 2025 NAB Show is as innovative as it is diverse, featuring sessions like "Engaging Audiences through On-Air Talent," which highlights how entities like the NFL enhance fan engagement and build loyalty. Another session, "Women's Sports - Growing Radio and Podcasting," addresses the burgeoning field of women's sports, which is expected to see significant revenue growth.

Attendees can also look forward to "My SportsCenter," an interactive feature by Microsoft demonstrating AI's capability to customize sports broadcasts to individual preferences. Moreover, the AWS F1 Simulators and Sports Wagering Pavilion will offer hands-on experiences with the latest technologies enhancing fan interaction and monetization opportunities.

Karen Chupka, executive vice president and managing director of NAB Global Connections and Events, commented on the show's role in driving innovation, stating, "Live sports are captivating audiences in unprecedented ways and unlocking fresh revenue opportunities for the media and entertainment industries."
