Cox Media Group (CMG) appoints Mark Shecterle as Vice President and Market Manager for its cluster in San Antonio, starting February 24. He takes the reins from David Abel, who has moved to CMG Atlanta Radio as its new VP and Market Manager. Previously, Mark Shecterle served as VP and Market Manager in Tulsa. He launched his 37-year career with Susquehanna Radio in Houston where he held several roles, including VP/GM of Marketing and Sales.

His tenure in Tulsa was marked by a strong commitment to community service and team development, factors that Rob Babin, EVP of CMG Radio, highlighted as key reasons for his appointment in San Antonio. Babin praised Shecterle's ability to deliver results for clients and foster strong community connections.

Shecterle expressed his enthusiasm about continuing the legacy of CMG Radio in San Antonio. "I'm fortunate that I have the opportunity to move from one highly talented CMG team to an equally impressive CMG team in a very important market," Shecterle said. "I want to build on CMG Radio's legacy in San Antonio and further enhance the impact the team is having there."
