The U.S. Soccer Federation has announced a new partnership with Cumulus Media's Westwood One Sports, making it the official English-language audio broadcaster for all Federation-hosted matches. This multi-year agreement includes coverage of US Women's National Team (USWNT) and US Men's National Team (USMNT) friendlies, Concacaf Nations League Quarterfinal matches, and the SheBelieves Cup, starting with the USWNT's match against Colombia this Thursday at 8pm ET.
Westwood One will distribute these broadcasts across its network, including the Cumulus Podcast Network. This arrangement extends through 2030, ensuring that fans can access live soccer action on multiple audio platforms.
David Wright, Chief Commercial Officer for U.S. Soccer, emphasized the benefits of this arrangement: "We want U.S. Soccer fans to have as many avenues as possible to engage with our matches, players, and coaches, and this partnership allows them to find us on Westwood One Sports' vast network," he said. "Westwood One will bring our matches to life in exciting ways while meeting our fans wherever they are listening."
Collin Jones, President of Westwood One and EVP of Corporate Strategy and Development at Cumulus Media, added, "The addition of U.S. Soccer to our Westwood One Sports platform is an exciting milestone for us. Bringing both the men's and women's national team programming to our listeners enhances our commitment to delivering world-class sports coverage," he stated. Jones highlighted the dual benefit of engaging fans and providing new opportunities for advertisers to connect with a dedicated audience.
Additionally, U.S. Soccer will launch a new podcast series offering insights and behind-the-scenes access to its teams. This initiative is set to enhance the fan experience by featuring interviews and focusing on the growth of soccer in the U.S., alongside coverage of major upcoming events like the SheBelieves Cup and the 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup.
Westwood One Sports now joins other media rightsholders such as Warner Bros. Discovery, NBCUniversal Telemundo, and Futbol de Primera in broadcasting U.S. Soccer events.
