Lite Rock 97.3/Ithaca Raises $13,000 for United Way

The community spirit was in full swing this Valentine's Day as WYXL (Lite Rock 97.3) and Cayuga Media Group successfully hosted their annual "Wine and Dine 2025" charity event, raising a significant $13,000 for the United Way of Tompkins County. The event featured a unique combination of local flavors and sounds, with radio personalities Dave Ashton and Jen Mattison at the helm.

Throughout the day, listeners had the opportunity to bid on exclusive hourly pairings of local restaurant dishes with fine wines or craft beers, with all proceeds directed towards supporting United Way's initiatives in the area. Since its inception in 2014, "Wine and Dine" has cumulatively raised over $140,000, reflecting the community's enduring commitment to philanthropy and local engagement.

Ashton Teribury, Relations Manager for the United Way of Tompkins County, expressed deep appreciation for the community's support. "The generosity of our community never ceases to amaze me. We are deeply grateful to Cayuga Media Group for their continued partnership in making this event a success over the past twelve years," Teribury said.
