In a move that broadens its geographical footprint, Cumulus Media is expanding its Cat Country 96 brand. Country WCTO-FM, based in Allentown, PA, began simulcasting on two additional stations in Wilkes Barre -- 93.7 WSJR-FM (93.7) and WBHD-FM (95.7), formerly known as NASH 93.7 FM and Hot 97.1, respectively.
With these new additions, Cat Country 96 now reaches a wider audience across Eastern Pennsylvania, including the Poconos on 107.1 FM, and in the Wilkes Barre-Scranton market on 93.7 and 95.7 FM. The station's signal extends south of Binghamton, NY, through to the northern Philadelphia metro area, and into western New Jersey, encompassing Warren and Hunterdon Counties.
Jerry Padden, Operations Manager at Cat Country 96, said, "This is an exciting day for all of us. We are thrilled to bring the Cat Country brand to Northeast PA, making our listener community and station bigger and better than ever. We can't wait to hear from our new listeners."
The station's lineup includes Sam Malone in the morning, Kristy O'Brien during middays, and Jerry Padden in afternoons. This expansion not only promises to deliver the best in Country music but also emphasizes live personalities and local engagement, strengthening its connection with Country fans across the newly extended service area.
