Cumulus Media is expanding its broadcast partnership with Rhode Island Football Club (RIFC) for the upcoming 2025 USL Championship season. This marks the second year of collaboration between the two organizations, promising more comprehensive coverage for soccer enthusiasts across the region.

Starting with the season opener on March 15th, WPRV (790 The Score) will provide live broadcasts of all 17 RIFC away games, as well as the first home game. The inaugural match against Charleston Battery is scheduled for 7:30pm. Broadcast veterans Nick Giuliano of 92 PRO-FM and Tommy Quinlan of WPRO-FM will return to the booth to deliver play-by-play action for the season, including the first match at the new Stadium at Tidewater Landing on May 3rd against San Antonio FC.

Additionally, Cumulus Media is introducing "Extra Time with Rhode Island FC," a new weekly segment hosted by Rhode Island sportswriter Kevin McNamara. Debuting on March 13th, the feature will air every Thursday at 6:20pm. The program plans to include exclusive interviews with RIFC's head coach and general manager, Khano Smith, various players, and front office executives throughout the season.

Holly Paras, Regional Vice President and Market Manager for Cumulus Providence/New London, expressed enthusiasm about the ongoing partnership. "We are thrilled to continue and expand our broadcast partnership with Rhode Island FC. It's an exciting time for Rhode Island soccer fans, especially with the opening of the new stadium this year. We look forward to a great season," said Paras.

David Peart, President of Rhode Island FC, also commented on the expanded coverage, stating, "We're excited to deepen our partnership with Cumulus Media for 2025, bringing Rhode Island FC fans unprecedented access to the USL Championship. Broadcasting 18 live games, including every road match, ensures our passionate supporters won't miss a single moment of the action."

The 2024 season saw Cumulus Media broadcasting 14 RIFC games, including all four playoff matches, setting a precedent for extensive coverage that will continue and grow in the upcoming season.
