Audacy Expands Slate with Podcaster Jake Brennan

Audacy, in collaboration with Double Elvis, has launched a new podcast series entitled "Hollywoodland," hosted by the celebrated podcaster Jake Brennan. This series delves into the intersecting lives of renowned actors and filmmakers, exploring the true crimes that have profoundly impacted their careers and lives. "Hollywoodland" marks Brennan's latest venture, following the immense success of his acclaimed podcast "Disgraceland."

Available on all major podcast platforms, "Hollywoodland" offers listeners a weekly exploration of the darker side of Hollywood. Each Monday, new episodes unravel tales of high-profile figures such as David Lynch, Steve McQueen, and Marilyn Monroe, among others. The podcast not only covers well-known incidents but also brings to light lesser-known stories like Woody Harrelson's father's involvement in the JFK assassination and Al Pacino's armed robbery.

Jake Brennan commented on the new series, stating, "'Hollywoodland' is a natural expansion from the success of 'Disgraceland.' Hollywood history and music history are often one in the same, and these wild true crime stories from Tinseltown beg to be told with the same gripping, edge-of-your-seat storytelling, and I'm beyond stoked to be bringing these stories to life with Audacy."

Leah Reis-Dennis, VP of Podcast Content Strategy & Business Development at Audacy, praised Brennan's unique storytelling approach, emphasizing his thorough research and high-quality sound design that make each episode a compelling listen. "We're thrilled to expand our slate with him with the launch of 'Hollywoodland' - listeners are in for a treat," she added.

Brennan, also known for his best-selling book "DISGRACELAND: Musicians Getting Away With Murder And Behaving Very Badly," has earned multiple accolades for his work, including a 2023 Ambie Award and the 2021 Webby Award for "Best Music Podcast."

Listeners can follow Jake Brennan on Instagram @Disgracelandpod and tune into "Hollywoodland" every Monday for new episodes that promise to uncover the eerie connections between Hollywood glamour and grisly crimes.
