Bob Waters is appointed as the new Program Director and morning host at WCAT-FM (Red 102.3) in Harrisburg, PA, following the retirement of the former host Rick Sten. Sten, known affectionately as "Rick On Red," concluded his broadcasting career last month, having spent 47 years in the industry and 15 years at Red 102.3.
The station shared the transition via its Instagram, stating, "It's official, Red Nation! With Rick On Red's departure, Bob Waters will take over the RED 102.3 morning show and will also handle the responsibilities of program director. A seasoned professional in Central Pennsylvania's radio scene, Bob's deep connections with the Radio Carlisle family of stations, especially his six years at WHLY Country 102.3 from 1992 to 1998, make him an excellent fit for our community."
Waters is returning to Harrisburg from Classic Rock WOBR-FM (Pirate 95.3) in Nags Head, NC, where he most recently held a dual role on-air and sales. His previous tenure at the station, when it still featured a Country format, along with his experience at various other stations in York PA, Lebanon, WSFM, and WMHX in Harrisburg.
