Marketron has announced its ongoing initiatives to enhance radio's advertising sales models at this year's National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show in Las Vegas. The company's efforts focus on supporting the transition of radio companies towards incorporating digital sales alongside traditional airtime spots.

Marketron has introduced Marketron NXT, a digital sales platform specifically designed for radio, signaling a strategic response to the increasing share of digital sales in advertising revenue. The platform is part of Marketron's broader strategy to equip radio professionals with the tools and knowledge necessary to excel in digital advertising sales.

Dustin Wilson, Senior Director of Digital Strategy at Marketron, will lead a roundtable discussion titled "The Secret to Radio's Digital Ad Success Is Being Local First" at the Small and Medium Market Radio Forum. Additionally, Wilson will participate in a panel discussing the local advertising buying landscape, sharing insights from the 13th annual benchmarking report for radio digital sales.

Marketron will host a Radio Roundtable session on effective digital sales training for radio. Led by Travis Cartier, Senior Client Onboarding and Development Manager, the session will outline the essential elements of successful digital sales training. Cartier will also introduce NXT Wave, a new three-month program aimed at enhancing the skills of individual digital sellers. This initiative offers personalized coaching, media training, and hands-on support, empowering participants to become digital champions within their organizations.

"Our technology, revenue model, and commitment to training and education showcase that we are the biggest supporters of radio," said Wilson. "We're working to align with their needs, helping them diversify revenue but stay true to their radio and local roots. Our focus is on continued innovation of our software, expanding programs, and being a source of education and inspiration as radio heads into the future."
