iHeartMedia has unveiled a new addition to its podcast roster with "Reggaeton con La Gata," hosted by music journalist Katelina "La Gata" Eccleston. The series is part of the My Cultura Podcast Network, which focuses on elevating Latinx voices. This initiative marks a collaboration with Eccleston's platform, known for its unique bilingual and femme-centric storytelling. The podcast premiered on April 14 and is available for listeners to stream.

Each episode of "Reggaeton con La Gata" promises interviews and personal stories from influential artists in the reggaeton genre. Among the guests lined up are Nesty La Mente Maestra, Jerry Di from Venezuela, Puerto Rican alternative artist RaiNao, the Dominican duo Martox, and Panamanian chart-topper Boza. Additionally, the show will provide a behind-the-scenes look in Eccleston's segment "La la la," along with street-style commentary from reggaeton fans in the "Rapidito" segment.

"To pivot into this new direction is a dream come true. I'm excited to shift culture in a new and honest direction with Latin music's very best," said Eccleston.

The program marks a strategic shift for Eccleston, who is pivoting from exploring reggaeton's historical roots to highlighting the contemporary and future elements of the genre. The focus is on the personal experiences, challenges, and achievements of today's emerging and established Latin music talents.

Will Pearson, President of iHeartPodcasts, commented on the launch, stating, "Reggaeton con La Gata has been a trusted voice in Latin music journalism, bridging generations through compelling storytelling. This collaboration with iHeartMedia's My Cultura Podcast Network will bring in-depth and authentic stories about the world of reggaeton to iHeart's vast array of listeners, shining a spotlight on a whole genre of music that some people may not have otherwise been exposed to."

"Reggaeton con La Gata" is distributed by iHeartPodcasts and new episodes are set to be released every Monday.
