Erin Wolf, Music Director at Radio Milwaukee's WYMS-FM (88Nine), has been awarded the 2025 Results Broadcasting Education Grant, the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association announced this week. Wolf joined 88Nine in 2022 after years of hosting a show on WMSE and contributing to various Milwaukee publications covering the local music landscape.

"Her expertise in music curation, her deep knowledge of diverse genres, and her commitment to discovering and championing local artists have significantly enriched our programming and strengthened our connection with the community," wrote Radio Milwaukee Executive Director Jordan Lee.

Lee praised Wolf's impact on the station and the city's cultural landscape, saying, "Under Erin's leadership, our station has consistently delivered high-quality, innovative, and culturally relevant programming. She has an uncanny ability to identify emerging talent and introduce audiences to fresh, authentic voices, creating a platform that celebrates the diversity and vibrancy of Milwaukee's music scene. Her work has not only elevated the station but also bolstered Milwaukee's reputation as a hub for music and creativity."

Wolf reflected on her path in broadcasting, writing, "I feel gratified my journey has led me to a career in broadcast journalism, particularly in music. It's been continuously inspiring, engaging and rewarding."

The Results Broadcasting Education Grant, now $3,000 thanks to an increased contribution from Bruce Grassman in 2023, was established by Bruce and Don Grassman to support professionals in the broadcasting industry. The initiative has since inspired similar efforts by other state broadcast associations.
