Charleston Media Solutions appoints Brooke Ryan as the new Program Director of WMXZ-FM (Mix 95.9). Ryan, a familiar voice to Charleston, SC listeners and a longtime member of Lowcountry media, steps into the role following the unexpected death of former Program Director Mike Edwards in December, 2024.
Ryan has been a key part of Mix 95.9's Two Girls and a Guy morning show, connecting with audiences alongside co-hosts Tanya Brown and the late Mike Edwards. Her radio career began in 2001 in Bakersfield, CA, followed by a stint in Knoxville, TN. Ryan later spent four years on the Mix 107.3 morning show in Washington, DC, before returning to Charleston in 2014.
"Brooke has demonstrated a true passion for the business and, combined with her incredible ability to entertain audiences, she is the perfect fit to lead Mix 95.9," said Charleston Media Solutions President Paul O'Malley.
In her new role, Ryan will oversee programming strategy, manage on-air talent, and work to further strengthen the station's presence both on-air and within the community.
"The ability to program in a company like Saga who believes in live and local radio is truly an honor and I will carry on the legacy of Mike Edwards who built this station into a powerhouse," added Ryan.
