KKBQ (93Q)/Houston's The Q Morning Show with Riggs, Katelyn & Erica took part in a powerful tribute to local veterans this past weekend, joining Honor Flight Houston's 33rd mission for a journey to Washington, D.C.

Morning host Riggs and producer Mason traveled alongside former Army Sgt. Jim Miller, a Vietnam veteran from the Houston area. The trip included visits to national landmarks such as the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, and the National Museum of the U.S. Army.

Back home, co-hosts Katelyn and Erica helped kick off the event with a heartfelt sendoff early Friday morning at Hobby Airport, showing their support and gratitude on behalf of the entire 93Q team.

The mission concluded Saturday night with a moving Welcome Home Heroes reception at Hobby Airport. More than 250 people, including family members, supporters, and patriotic Houstonians, gathered in the terminal to greet the veterans with American flags, cheers, and emotional reunions.

Throughout the weekend, 93Q listeners followed Riggs and Mason's journey via the station's Facebook and Instagram pages.

"Thank you to Honor Flight Houston for allowing 93Q to play a small part in such a meaningful mission to celebrate the brave men and women who served our country," the station said.
