Acast appoints Greg Glenday as its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Ross Adams, who is stepping down after nearly eight years in the role. Adams will remain with the company in a strategic advisory capacity. Under Adams' tenure, the company saw rapid growth -- expanding its revenues from under SEK 100 million to more than SEK 1.9 billion in 2024 -- and successfully completed an IPO, multiple acquisitions, and global market expansion.

"The board would like to express its gratitude to Ross Adams for his important contributions as CEO of Acast," said John Harrobin, Chairman of the Board. "Ross has been instrumental in the company's development toward becoming the leading marketplace for podcasts."

Adams reflected on his time at the helm: "I'm incredibly proud of the value we've created at Acast, building a market-leading global podcasting platform, delivering profitability, and having had the privilege to lead such brilliantly talented people. I remain committed to supporting the company's continued success."

Glenday, who joined Acast's management in 2023 as Chief Business Officer, brings over a decade of executive experience, including roles as Chief Revenue Officer of Shazam and CEO of Lightbox.

"The Board is confident that Greg Glenday is the right leader for Acast as we enter our next phase of growth," Harrobin added. "Greg's leadership has been vital in transforming Acast's U.S. operations, which helped the company achieve positive EBITDA for the first time in its ten-year history."

Glenday said he was "honored and energized" to take on the CEO role: "I look forward to working with our immensely talented team of Acasters, our creators, and our advertising partners to unlock podcasting's full potential and shape the future of the industry."
