Former ESPN Radio anchor and studio host Kevin Winter has found his next chapter following his departure from the network earlier this year. In a Facebook post, Winter revealed that he has accepted a position at the University of Florida, with his new role set to begin July 11.

While the university has yet to formally announce his title, multiple sources indicate Winter is expected to become the new Brand Manager for WRUF-AM & FM in Gainesville, FL, the university's on-campus radio station. WRUF serves as the flagship for Florida Gators athletics and maintains affiliations with ESPN Radio as well as several professional sports organizations.

"For all of my life, I have called the Northeast home," Winter wrote. "Well, come Sunday, it all changes. The moving truck arrives and I begin the next chapter of my life. I'm moving to Gainesville, Florida as I have accepted a job with the University of Florida."

Winter spent over two decades with ESPN, first joining the network in 2004. During his tenure, he anchored ESPN Radio SportsCenter and served as a studio host covering major sports including Major League Baseball, the NFL, NBA, and college athletics. He also contributed play-by-play for ESPN Radio's college football coverage.

In addition to his ESPN career, Winter hosted shows on 890 ESPN Radio in Boston from 2005 to 2009. Earlier in his career, he worked as a writer and editor for SportsTicker for nine years and hosted "Sports Pulse" on CN8 for four years.

Though stepping into a new role, Winter hinted that his days behind the mic aren't over. "I assure you, you have not heard the last of me on the air!" he said. "I'll see you all later, just from a different part of the country. Go Gators."
