Edison Research has released its list of the Top 50 podcasts in the U.S. for the second quarter of 2025, based on reach among weekly podcast consumers aged 13 and older. The rankings are derived from Edison Podcast Metrics, which measures audience size through continuous interviews conducted in English and Spanish throughout the quarter.

The top five podcasts remain unchanged from the previous quarter: The Joe Rogan Experience continues to dominate at No. 1, followed by Crime Junkie, The Daily, Call Her Daddy, and This Past Weekend w/Theo Von.

Notable movements within the Top 10 include SmartLess, which jumped three positions to No. 6, and Stuff You Should Know, up five spots to No. 8. Video-driven shows gained traction following Edison's recent inclusion of video-only podcast viewers in its metrics. As a result, No Jumper and The Pat McAfee Show climbed 11 and 26 positions, respectively.

Edison also highlighted several milestone achievements:

  • Good Hang with Amy Poehler, which debuted in March, entered the Top 50 for the first time at No. 42.
  • The Mel Robbins Podcast rose to No. 11.
  • The Megyn Kelly Show entered the Top 20 at No. 19.
  • The MeidasTouch Podcast landed in the Top 25 at No. 24.

Meanwhile, two shows -- Gil's Arena and Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce -- are building momentum just outside the Top 50.

As previously reported, Edison announced its new "Top Podcast" badges, which are now available to qualifying shows that ranked in the Top 10, Top 25, or Top 50. These badges feature the year designation and are intended to help podcasts showcase their ranking achievements.

Additionally, beginning next month, Edison Podcast Metrics data will be integrated into Nielsen Media Impact (NMI), a widely used media planning tool. This move expands access to Edison's audience estimates and listener profiles for use by major podcast networks and advertising agencies.
