iHeartPodcasts and KT Studios are partnering on a new true-crime podcast series, Incels, which delves into the world of "involuntary celibates" -- young men who often express anger, isolation, and resentment online. The first episode debuts Wednesday, September 24, on the iHeartRadio app and all major podcast platforms.
The in-depth series will explore how frustration in these digital communities can escalate into harassment, cruelty, and even violence. Listeners will hear exclusive first-hand accounts, analysis from experts, and perspectives from both current and former incels. The producers emphasize that the goal is not to sensationalize the subculture, but to understand its origins, its impact, and the paths toward change.
"Incels will take audiences inside dark online forums, exposing the tragic human cost of a hate-fueled subculture," the announcement stated. "Episodes will examine how these communities form, why they continue to grow, and the emotional cycles that trap men within them -- while also offering hope for those seeking to leave."
KT Studios' Stephanie Lydecker leads the project as executive producer, alongside producers Courtney Armstrong and Gabriel Castillo. Tyler Klang serves as executive producer for iHeartPodcasts, with additional production from Carolyn Miller and Conor Powell.
New episodes of Incels will be released weekly on Wednesdays.
