The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWMF) has opened the call for entries for the 51st Annual Gracie Awards, which honor outstanding achievements by women and those who support them across all areas of media, including television, streaming, radio, and podcasting.

"Each year, the Gracies spotlight extraordinary talent who are shaping the future of media," said AWMF President Becky Brooks. "For more than five decades, these awards have honored powerful storytelling and representation while fueling the Foundation's ability to invest in scholarships and programs that empower the next generation of women in our industry."

The 2026 Gracie Awards will recognize exceptional work aired between January 1 and December 31, 2025. National winners will be celebrated at the Gracies Gala on May 19, 2026, at the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, while local and student honorees will be recognized at the Gracies Luncheon on June 16, 2026, at Cipriani in New York.

Returning as co-chairs are Heather Cohen, President of The Weiss Agency; Annie Howell, Chief Communications Officer at Hallmark Media; and Mike McVay, President of McVay Media Consulting.

This year's call introduces several new and updated categories reflecting the evolving media landscape. New categories include Audio Podcast Host (Lifestyle, Educational, and Sports), Video Podcast, Video Podcast Host/Co-Host, and Competition Series for television, along with new documentary categories in local news and sports. Updated categories include Substack/E-Newsletter/Blog, which now accepts Substack content, and Unscripted/Reality programming, formerly known as Non-Fiction Entertainment.

Early bird submissions are due by December 11, 2025, with final entries accepted through January 22, 2026. Full entry details and category descriptions are available at here.

In partnership with AWMF, NCTA - The Internet and Television Association is again offering scholarships to cover entry fees for students and professionals.
