SonicTrek.ai has announced the hiring of veteran Country music journalist Amanda Hensel as MyCountry.fm Content Coordinator and Director of Social Media. In her new role, Hensel will lead localized content initiatives for MyCountry.fm and oversee social media strategy across SonicTrek.ai's format portfolio.
Based in Austin, Hensel brings more than a decade of editorial leadership experience to the position. She previously served 14 years as Editor-in-Chief of Taste of Country, where she led coverage of the artists and trends shaping the genre.
"Amanda is joining SonicTrek.ai in this important role as we continue to develop localized AI content," said Partner and CEO Joel Denver. "That local connection will define the difference between today's radio and what's coming next. Our AI-driven formats will offer creative, market-specific playlists with localized content that keeps listeners engaged."
MyCountry.fm Brand Manager Charlie Cook added, "When you're starting something new and creative, it's rare to find someone who both sees the potential and understands what it takes to make the future come alive. Amanda's experience and passion for Country music will help us fulfill our promise of telling local stories every day."
"I'm thrilled to join the SonicTrek.ai team and help shape the future of radio," Hensel said. "What we're doing with AI feels fresh and forward-thinking. It's time to bring more localized content and breathe new life into one of entertainment's most enduring formats."
SonicTrek.ai currently offers four AI-infused radio formats: MyCountry.fm, hosted by Suzanne Alexander and programmed by Charlie Cook; Phoebe: Curiously Alternative, directed by Dennis Constantine; Starship, a new take on Classic Rock created by Lee Abrams and programmed by Constantine; and Cool Classics, reimagined by Brian Kelly and hosted by Randi West.
All formats can be heard at SonicTrek.ai.
