WABC Radio New York has launched a new weekly talk program, The Pulse of the People, hosted by former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. The one-hour show premiered Sunday at 5pm and centers on listener calls and open discussion of issues affecting New Yorkers statewide.
Positioned as an interactive forum, The Pulse of the People invites listeners from across New York -- from Albany to New York City -- to share perspectives and engage in conversations about challenges facing the city, state, and nation.
John Catsimatidis, owner of Red Apple Media and WABC Radio, said the program reflects the station's commitment to bipartisan dialogue and audience participation. He added that the show is designed to focus on listener calls and thoughtful discussion of issues important to New Yorkers.
Cuomo said the program aims to move beyond polarized debate and foster fact-based conversations. He noted that the show will emphasize practical problem-solving and discussion of issues that directly affect people's lives.
Red Apple Media and WABC Radio President Chad Lopez said the new program continues 77WABC's long-standing approach of featuring voices from across government while expanding opportunities for direct public engagement.
The Pulse of the People airs Sundays from 5-6pm on 77WABC Radio and streams live on WABCradio.com and the 77WABC Radio app.
