Suruthi Bala and Hannah Maguire have entered an exclusive commercial and distribution partnership with Audioboom, bringing their true crime podcast RedHanded back to the Audioboom Creator Network.

Launched in 2017, RedHanded has grown into one of the world's most popular true crime podcasts, surpassing 30 million downloads annually. The show has earned Gold in the Listeners' Choice category at the British Podcast Awards for three consecutive years (2021-2023), building a global following with its mix of investigative storytelling and British humor.

Under the agreement, Audioboom will manage global distribution, advertising sales, and growth for RedHanded across audio and video formats. The deal includes distribution of more than 400 main episodes, along with the previously paywalled ShortHand back catalog. All future episodes of RedHanded and ShortHand will also be distributed and monetized by Audioboom.

Bala and Maguire said returning to Audioboom marks a natural next phase for the show, citing the company's understanding of creator-led storytelling and its ability to support international growth while maintaining editorial integrity.

The partnership comes as Audioboom continues to expand its video podcast footprint. The company was recently recognized as the world's largest video podcast publisher by the Podscribe Ranker and named a launch partner for the Spotify Distribution API for video podcasts.

Audioboom Chief Content Officer Brendan Regan said the return of RedHanded reflects the company's investment in tools and infrastructure designed to maximize commercial opportunities for creators across both audio and video.

The podcast will be widely available across major platforms, including YouTube, Spotify, and other leading podcast services.
