Country Fresh Radio (CFR) has launched as a new syndicated Country music program focused on spotlighting brand-new releases from established stars and emerging artists. The weekly two-hour show is designed to provide a dedicated platform for new music, offering labels and artists a consistent window for exposure at a time when traditional station playlists leave limited room for additional tracks.
CFR curates fresh releases into a single appointment-listening format, aiming to create awareness without competing directly with a station's core rotation.
The program is hosted by industry veterans Murphdawg and Phathead, who bring nearly 60 years of combined experience in radio programming, promotion and marketing.
"There's a lot of great music that doesn't always get the immediate runway it deserves," Murphdawg said. "Country Fresh Radio is built to give new songs a real moment - not just a spin, but a spotlight."
Phathead added that the show is intended to offer labels a place where new releases can gain traction. "Labels are looking for places where new music actually gets heard, not buried," he said. "CFR is about discovery, context, and momentum - helping listeners connect with songs and artists early."
Current CFR affiliates include WJVC in Long Island, NY; WXUS in Ocala, FL; WYGC in Gainesville, FL; WHWY in Fort Walton Beach, FL; WRXB in Panama City Beach, FL; and WCTY in Norwich, CT.
